MEET ASHLEY CASS
TITO’S FIRST EVER ROVING BLOGGER
In the year 1985, the stars aligned and a baby girl was born unto Mark (Welch, OK) and Elsa Cass of Laredo, TX. The child was christened Ashley and shortly bestowed a companion and playmate named Alex… which was awesome. After a lifetime of dance lessons, education in the private school sector and a writer/cartoonist stint at the local newspaper, she left her beloved border town to attend Texas State University in San Marcos. During this time, Ashley excelled in socializing and party throwing while maintaining a 3.25 GPA… which considering, isn’t too bad.
Upon graduating with a degree in Electronic Media, Ashley relocated to Austin and started an internship with Birds Barbershop, a chain of unisex hair salons. She quickly found her niche as their brand rep and social media manager, resulting in a raise and business card. During her time with the company, she received a Texas Social Media Award and mention in the New York Times. After a year with Birds, she was hired by geo-location startup Gowalla – where she held the position of Campus and Events Coordinator until December 2011, when the company was acquired by Facebook.
Ashley currently rocks Social Media Strategy and Management at Giant Noise. She continues to go out on a regular basis and Tito’s Vodka is always her call of choice…
