The Star of Africa
- 3/4 oz Meyer lemon juice
- 3/4 oz Kumquat/thyme simple
- 2 oz Star of Africa Infused Tito’s Vodka
- 2 seconds worth of Lemon verbena Soda water
- Serve in a tall Collins glass with 3 big pieces of good ice
- Garnish with mint sprig and Meyer lemon twist
Tea: almost every specialty grocer will have an African tea of sorts, whole foods has a great one. I steep 3 bags with 1 bottle of Tito’s at about 120 deg for about 5 to 8 min. Once off the heat I allow it to sit for a few hours at room temp, then strain back to bottle
*** Alcohol evaporates at 148 deg; so don’t go crazy with the heat
